If you're a college, university, or independent school considering:
- monitoring student or faculty attitudes on a regular basis in terms of academic and social issues on campus
- developing stronger communication with alumni and receiving their input on the state of the school in an organized manner
- implementing programs to retain more of your current student body
- expanding the school in terms of grade levels
- changing the curriculum or grading system
- exploring single-sex education versus co-education
- determining the appropriate balance of day students to boarding students
- adding to the physical plant
- planning a capital campaign
- measuring student, faculty or parent reactions to timely campus issues or events
Our Educational Insights program can provide a wide range of research services and supply the answers you need to make sound financial, educational and policy decisions. We offer:
- confidential, personal telephone interviews, offering prompt turnaround
- a Focus on Education: on-campus or off-campus focus groups with parents, faculty, alumni and students
- informal on-campus interviewing of students or faculty
- mailed surveys
- event/campaign effectiveness studies
- experienced analysis of results, trends and decisions
Our experience translates to thoughtful and specifically targeted projects designed to provide "pro-active" decision making tools. In today's climate, educational institutions must be ready to address issues in a timely fashion. They cannot afford to "wait and see" how a situation plays out. The image of a school, the definition and fulfillment of its mission, future admissions and fund raising depend on their understanding of viewpoints on and off campus.
Our hands-on direction of each assignment promises professional handling of the research topic. Our day-to-day contact with educators, parents and students avoids the learning curve other research companies might require. We know the language of the different audiences you deal with every day.
Educational Insights' Yield Evaluation Study
Few outside of the admissions and education fields fully understand the wide ranging impact of the admissions office and its work. Not only do its efforts determine the actual personality of the school but the image it projects through its off-campus visits and media placements represents the first and sometimes only encounter the general public may have with the school.
The Yield Evaluation Study offers schools an opportunity to reach those students who opted not to attend, using a specially designed questionnaire that reflects the special features and characteristics of the school. We work hand-in-hand with each client to be sure the questionnaire truly reflects the school's current concerns. Making maximum use of the research expertise of our marketing/research group and the strong educational/admissions focus of our educational consulting group, the Yield Evaluation Study and the resulting analysis and in-person presentation provide Educational Insights clients with valuable, custom-designed market research to assist in building their yield ratio.
