A Consulting Resource Designed to Help Individuals Make
Optimum Decisions
About Critical Academic and Professional Choices
Dr. Matthew Greene, Ph.D., and Dr. Kenneth Magrath, Ph. D., are pleased
to offer Career and Educational Transitions Counseling. We combine
many years of consulting expertise facilitating well informed, strategic
decisions at times of significant change. :
- How do I know what to look for in a college if I am not sure
of my interests?
- OK. I got into the school I wanted, but what do I study? How
do I decide on a major?
- Now that I've graduated, what am I really prepared to do? How
can I match my education with my interests?
- Iíd like to get a graduate degree, but for what kind of program
am I best suited?
- I'm dissatisfied with my current career - I'd like to make a
change, but what should I do?
The Career and Educational Transitions Counseling Process
We begin by developing a customized database including your personal,
academic, and professional history.
In the initial meeting, we will expand on this information, to develop
a thorough working knowledge of your academic and professional experiences,
goals, and aspirations.
We will give you the Strong Interest Inventory™ and the Myers
Briggs Type Inventory™, to take away with you, complete, and
return to us for analysis. These assessment materials will be used
to add an empirical assessment of your interests and abilities.
We will then integrate this information in the Wrap-Up Meeting, where
we discuss our findings and provide a customized written report that
includes our focused recommendations.
Career and Educational Transitions Counseling will sometimes lead
to additional counseling directed toward specific graduate school
admissions. If further educational counseling is desired, please call
our Westport office for information about Howard Greene Associatesí
traditional ongoing graduate school counseling.
